Assaulted man left with facial injuries

Assault: A 27-year-old Lincoln man was attacked this weekend by three unknown men on Hermit Street.

A 27-year-old Lincoln man was assaulted at about 3am on Saturday, May 15th, according to Lincolnshire Police. The assault took place on Hermit Street, and was reportedly carried out by three unknown men.

The victim sustained severe facial injuries and was treated at Lincoln County Hospital. The man was not detained in hospital, but is very shaken by the incident.

His jacket containing his mobile telephone, cash and a credit card is missing. At this stage it is not known whether or not the motive for the assault was robbery or whether the jacket has been lost.

Detective Constable Di Squires of Lincoln CID is investigating this case, and anyone with information should contact her at 0300 11 0300.
