Building firm donates to children’s ward

Kind donation: A local business have kindly donated toys to the hospital’s children’s ward after disruption.

A building firm that was working on new developments at Lincoln County Hospital apologised for any disruption caused by donating gifts to the children’s wards.

Local business Gelders had been working on two new wards, which were opened last month. They had also been working on a new play room for the Ruston Ward, which caused disruption to the children’s ward.

As an apology, the firm’s representatives, Gelder’s Managing Director Steve Gelder and Site Manager Roger Paulger, visited the ward and donated new toys for child patients to enjoy.

Play Leader on Ruston Ward, Donna Wilkinson, said: “The builders of our new playroom have very kindly donated some new toys for the patients to enjoy. We are touched by their gesture and very thankful for this donation.”
