Funny July at the Theatre Royal

Cannon and Ball: The comedy duo will go on stage at the Theatre Royal next month, alongside the Dinnerladies.

Updated on June 15th: The Sunday Night at the Royal show has now been cancelled. Any ticket holders will be fully refunded.

July is sure to pack a star-studded punch for The Lincoln Theatre Royal. Both Dinnerladies and The Sunday Night at the Royal will be opening their curtains to the public early next month.

Dinnerladies will be showcasing this July 1st and 3rd. After the success of the BBC sitcom, they will come to the stage on the third leg of their national tour.

The original show ran from 1998 to 2000, and after ten years, the show is coming back into the spotlight. The performance will include members of the original cast, including Andrew Dunn and Sue Devaney of Coronation Street recreating their roles of Tony and secretary Jane.

There will be matinée and evening performances available. Prices start at £14.50.

Sunday Night at the Royal is also coming back to the theatre with a performance on July 4th at 7:30pm. It will showcase comedy duo Cannon and Ball (pictured), made of Lincolnite Steve Barclay and award-winning act Stewart and Jayne Safire.

This night promises to be one of great comedy, illusions and magic: “I went home feeling that the Lincoln Theatre Royal is leading the way in putting variety back on the map with a capital V,” said Jonathon Morris, Bread star and West End Actor, about this past May’s performance.

Tickets for Sunday Night at The Royal will be from £18.50, £16.50, and £14.50.

All ticket information for both Dinnerladies and Sunday Night at the Royal can be obtained from the box office at 01522 519999.
