Lucy Tower car park to close for three Sundays

Repairs: The Lucy Tower car park will be closed for three Sundays, as maintenance work is carried out on the ground floor.

The Lucy Tower car park in Lincoln, situated on Lucy Tower Street, will close for three recurring Sundays. The Brayford Waterfront car park will be closed on June 20th, June 27th and July 4th.

The City Council says the closure is due to essential maintenance to be carried out at the location, and suggest the Broadgate car park as an alternative for Sunday visitors to the city centre. The Broadgate car park charges £2.50 for all-day parking, and £1 for evening parking.

“We’re carrying out this work on Sundays as this is our quietest day, and we want to minimise disruption to the public,” said Rod Williamson, City Services Team Leader at the City of Lincoln Council.

“The nature of the work, which is on the ground floor, means that the whole car park will need to be closed. We appreciate drivers’ cooperation and would like to encourage the use of other car parks with good access to the city centre, such as City Hall, and Broadgate,” Williamson added.
