A taste of Italy to return to Lincoln

Calling Italy: Various areas around Lincoln city will be transformed for an Italian weekend at the end of the month.

Various areas around the city centre will be serving up great food, music, and motoring, at the second Lincoln Italian weekend.

Banking on the success of last year’s event, organisers Lincoln BIG (Business Improvement Group) will bring the Italian weekend back to the city’s High Street, Cornhill, and Brayford Pool area on July 23-25.

The continental event will have something for everyone, including a colourful 18-stall Italian Piazza-style market, classical Italian music, and hundreds of scooterists ascending the Brayford on the Saturday, 11am-2pm.

Lincoln’s Mayfield Bridge will be decorated to resemble Venice’s Rialto Bridge throughout the weekend.

Lincoln BIG encourages Lincolnites and tourists alike to enjoy lingering through the stalls and to make the most of the Italian Weekend’s special ambience.
