Early finish for revamped NCP car park

Prime parking: NCP have finished the Brayford Street car park revamp ahead of time, and will be reopening it next week.

The new-look Brayford Street Car Park has been finished ahead of time, and will be open to the public July 26. Lord and Lady Mayoress will be on hand to formally open the outdoor car park at 2.30pm on the day.

Over the last 6 weeks, NCP (National Car Parks) has carried out extensive refurbishment work costing £100,000 to modernise the car park.

The Brayford Street Car Park has been resurfaced, a new drainage system has been installed, and bay lines should be painted by opening day.

“We’re delighted to have finished ahead of time so that we can re-open the site to Lincoln and resume business as normal, said Neil Allemby, Regional Business Manager for NCP.

“We’ve invested heavily in this complete revamp and proved that NCP is totally committed to delivering a convenient, safe car park close to Lincoln centre for new and existing customers.

“Many thanks to all our customers for their patience whilst we were working on this; we are very grateful that the Lord Mayor of Lincoln will be showing his support by opening the new site for us.”

NCP will also launch a new Park and Pledge scheme, which will fundraise for Lincoln County Hospital. The scheme will make a donation to the children’s ward at the hospital for every car parked, starting August 1. This amounts to over £5,000 per year. The NHS hospital will also be allowed free advertising on car park tickets.
