Knifed man recovering in hospital

Knife injuries: A 25-year-old man was attacked by four men and sustained cuts to his face, hand and abdomen.

A 25-year-old local man is recovering in hospital, after he was attacked by around four men some time between 7.50pm and 8.05pm on July 7.

He was attacked in a passageway at St Botolph’s Court, just off the High Street, and sustained cuts to his face, hand and abdomen.

The North-Hykeham man’s condition is not life-threatening, but police said the incident could have been much worse.

A knife has been recovered, but it is unknown whether it is the weapon used in the attack. A white Transit-type van was seen in the area, and detectives are still trying to establish whether it was connected to the offence.

Detective Sergeant Dave Harrop of Lincoln CID is investigating the case, and is appealing for anyone who saw any part of the assault to call 0300 111 0300.
