Man beaten by four, now in hospital care

Attacked and beaten: A local man is now in hospital care after he was attacked and beaten by four other men over the weekend.

A 45-year-old local man is now in the care of the Lincoln County Hospital, after he was attacked and beaten by four other men on the night of Saturday, July 3.

At about 11.10pm on July 3, four men were reported to have attacked and beaten a local man on Cannon Street in Lincoln (pictured).

His injuries consist of a broken jaw, a broken nose, a fractured eye socket, a broken finger, and general cuts and bruises. He remains in a stable condition at the Lincoln County Hospital, and his injuries are not judged to be life-threatening.

Four men are believed to have been involved, and Lincolnshire Police has only brief descriptions of the offenders.

One is aged in his 40s, scruffy looking, wearing a blue hooded top. Another man is described as quite tall, wearing a white t-shirt and white shorts. There are no descriptions of the other men.

The victim was wearing blue jeans, and was bare chested. He has short, dark hair.

Detective Constable Julie Burton of Lincoln CID is investigating the case and is appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Burton is looking to hear from anyone who was in the area of Cannon Street and Stamp End between 11pm and 11.10pm on July 3, who may have witnessed the whole, or any part of this incident.
