Police to advise on crime prevention

Police advice: An event in the Valentine Retail Park aims to raise awareness about crime reduction and crime prevention.

Police will hold on Saturday, July 17, an event at the Valentine Retail Park in Lincoln to flag ways residents can help reduce and prevent crime in the city.

The Boultham Neighbourhood Policing Team will welcome members of the public at their gazebo between 11am and 4pm, to talk about home security, bogus callers, rogue traders, drugs, and hate crime.

“Trading Standards, Children Services and the Anti Social Behaviour Team from City of Lincoln Council will be attending this event,” said PCSO Nikki Hall, who organised the event.

“It’s everyone’s responsibility to help prevent crime, and it cannot be tackled in isolation by the police.

“The more people who are aware of the steps they can take to prevent crime, the more chance there is of deterring criminals,” Hall added.
