Acclaimed singer returns to Theatre Royal

Darius returns: Pop and opera star Darius Campbell will return to Lincoln in September with the History of the Big Bands.

Platinum-selling singer and actor Darius Campbell will be revisiting Lincoln this autumn alongside musical tour History of the Big Bands. Campbell is returning to Lincoln Theatre Royal on September 19th, after a successful performance at their Gala evening earlier in the year.

History of Big Bands is one of the world’s greatest big band and swing shows, performed as it would have been in the past. The show includes music from Frank Sinatra, Harry James, Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Woody Herman, and Buddy Rich.

Darius Campbell (formally Darius Danesh) is known for his parts in West End productions such as Chicago, Guys and Dolls, and Gone with the Wind playing the star role. He also famously took part in Pop Idol and Pop Star to Opera Star, so the History of big Bands compliments his background perfectly.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets start at £17, and are available from the Theatre Royal Box Office.
