Free disability inclusion course for coaches

Coaching: Lincolnshire Sports Partnership urge coaches to be aware of people with disabilities playing sport.

Sports coaches in Lincolnshire are being encouraged to take part in a free course that will allow them to include disabled people in their activities.

The Typhoo For All Disability Inclusion Training course will take place at Bishop Grosseteste University College on October 17 from 9am to 4pm.

Coaches will learn how to make lessons more accessible for disabled people through theoretical and practical sessions, run throughout the day.

The course will be delivered by an accredited English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) tutor.

Organiser of the course and Coach Development Manager at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership Lizzie Couling said: “This is an excellent opportunity for coaches to get some free training and information about including people with a disability into their sessions.

“I hope that many coaches in Lincolnshire will see the benefits of this course and take up this opportunity.”

The deadline to register on the course is next week on October 6.
