Grand ball for neonatal charity fundraiser

Support ball: A Lincoln hospital worker is putting on a ball to raise money for a local neonatal and stillborn support charity.

A Lincoln County Hospital staff member is hosting a ball to raise money to help support families who experience stillborn or neonatal deaths.

Healthcare support worker Hollie Pederson works in the maternity department, and has organised the Pink Tie Ball to raise money for Lincoln Sands charity.

The ball will take place on November 6 at the Charlotte House Hotel in uphill Lincoln, and the theme for guests to wear is black and pink.

The evening includes a three course meal, local entertainment, an auction, a raffle and more secret surprises. A photographer will also take photos as people arrive.

Some of the families that have been affected by stillborn or neonatal death will also speak during the night.

Pederson said: “I have witnessed stillborn and neonatal deaths in my job, and I have seen the incredible support that is given to families by department staff and the charity Lincoln Sands.

“The money raised will go towards support and resources at Lincoln County Hospital, and will help families in the future.”
