Play by local man visits Drill Hall

Local: A Lincolnite writer will be showcasing his play at Lincoln Drill Hall this month.

A Lincoln theatre company will be performing a local writer’s play, The League of Un-Extrodinary Gentleman, this month at Lincoln Drill Hall.

Due October 21, the company called Upstage Left will perform Stuart McPherson’s play about friendship and mild peril.

The tale centres on four old men, Bruce, Clark, Charles and Jeffery, who are stuck in a retirement compound. Each day they fight off the evil doctor Simon von Doom.

Artistic Director of Upstage Left and playwright McPherson said: “We can’t wait to return to The Drill Hall with this new and exciting piece of dark comedy.

“Tickets for any Upstage Left production will be supporting a fledgling theatre company who help unsigned, yet highly talented writers realise their dreams.”

The company is supported by Lincolnshire County Council and Arts Council England.

Door open at 7.30pm, and ticket prices start from £6.
