A15 roadworks to last three weeks

Closed road: One of the main roads into Lincoln will be closed for three weeks after 9.30am for resurfacing.

Works have started on Monday, November 1, on a four-mile (6.4km) stretch of the A15 between Lincoln and Scunthorpe, and are set to end on November 19.

Each morning for the next three weeks, the road will be closed from 9.30am, so that it can be resurfaced with skid-resistant materials.

The project is said to cost the Lincolnshire County Council £230,000.

“We are keeping the road open until 0930 each morning so the morning peak rush-hour traffic can travel through unimpeded and then the road will be closed for the rest of the day until the contractor finishes,” Mark Curtis, an engineer with the County Council told BBC Lincolnshire.
