Castle looking for fancy dress volunteers

Back to life: The friends of Lincoln Castle are looking for people to dress up in character costumes during events and exhibitions.

Lincoln Castle could be brought back to life by local volunteers.

Organisers are planning to run a range of activities with the aim of enhancing the visitor experience at the historic attraction.

Volunteers will be asked to dress up in character costumes during occasional events and exhibitions, can get involved with maintenance projects within the grounds or help with outreach sessions.

District manager at Lincoln Castle, Will Mason, explained how they will work alongside ‘The friends of Lincoln Castle’ to make the venue more appealing.

“The search for 39 volunteers starts with a recruitment day on Wednesday, November 24. People will be able to find out what sort of projects they can become involved in and sign themselves up.”

The day will run from 10am until 4pm and entrance to the castle will be free.
