Five cars damaged in one night

Criminal damage: Offenders smashed windscreens and windows of five cars in Lincoln in one night.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information after offenders reportedly smashed windscreens and windows of five cars in Lincoln in one night.

The incidents happened overnight between November 23 and 24. Two cars in St Peter’s Avenue were damaged, two in Witham Close and one in Rookery Lane.

It is unknown whether any items were stolen from these cars, and police are calling this a “spate of criminal damage”.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity to get in touch with them as soon as possible on 0300 111 0300.

The force has previously warned drivers not to leave valuables on display in sight after a series of break-ins late this summer.

A further warning came in September, after a second round of break-ins in Lincoln, with several items stolen from vehicles in Cannon Street.
