Fresh start for budding entrepreneurs

On your own: A free seminar for Lincoln’s budding entrepreneurs will explain how to kickstart your business ideas.

The Business Link Start-up Service will throw a free seminar for Lincoln’s budding entrepreneurs about how they can kickstart their business ideas.

Hosted at The Lawn at 9.30am on Saturday, March 5, the seminar is designed to give people access to the assistance they need in order to start their own business.

The event is part of Business Link’s Fresh Start campaign, featuring prominent speakers, who have themselves launched thriving businesses.

The speakers will talk about the challenges that they have faced, and successes that they have achieved.

Aimed at those people thinking of starting a business or working for themselves, it will look at what is really involved in running a company and the various types of businesses that exist.

Stephen Smith (pictured), Chief Executive of EMB Ltd, the organisation responsible for local delivery of the Business Link service said:

“The changes in the economy have spurred more people to think about becoming their own boss and this is the ideal opportunity to check out your business idea.

“When market and employment conditions are uncertain, starting your own business is certainly an option worth examining as there are often opportunities to be exploited.

“Our aim is to help local people access the right support for their needs.”
