Go back to the 80s at Lincoln Theatre Royal

Party time: The Theatre Royal will be playing host to a big 80s extravaganza.

Lincoln Theatre Royal will be taking a dance-step back in time with POP Goes The 80s next month.

Audiences will be treated to over two hours of classic 1980s pop and rock hits, performed by a London West End cast.

The festivities are all bought together by ‘cheesetastic’ host Max Power, appearing on a big video wall.

Participation is also encouraged through 80s fancy dress.

Director and producer, Sheena Beckett, has played both Agnetha and Freida in Voulez Vous- ABBA The Story.

She has also performed alongside the likes of Billie Piper and Take That‘s Mark Owen.

She said: “We love every minute of it and so will the audience. It’s a flamboyant decade which lends itself to reproduction in a theatrical setting.

“We’ve lots of lavish costumes and some of the changes are very quick indeed. Changing from Madonna into Kim Wilde and then Toni Basil is no mean feat!”

The show will be at 7.30pm on February 20. Tickets start at £16.50 and can be bought from the Lincoln Theatre Royal Box Office.
