Keep fit with new basketball club

New club: A basketball club has been set up in Lincoln to let people take part in the sport and keep fit.

Lincolnites interested in playing basketball can now take part in the sport, due to the creation of a new social club.

The Come and Play Basketball Club offers social basketball sessions to anyone over 16, at all levels of experience.

It aims to allow people to polish their skills, learn to play, meet people and importantly, keep fit.

Lincolnshire Sports Partnership’s Basketball Development Officer Lucy Willets said: “These recreational basketball sessions are great for people that want to get back into basketball.

“It will be fun and informal and players of all abilities are welcome.”

The club, based at The Priory Witham Academy on Shannon Avenue, begins on February 2 at 7pm, lasting an hour.

Sessions cost £2, and participants can wear any comfortable sportswear and trainers.
