Man in hospital after West Parade assault

Attack: A 26-year-old local man was taken to hospital after he was assaulted on West Parade in the middle of the night.

A 26-year-old local man is in a “stable condition” at Lincoln County Hospital after he was assaulted in West Parade, Lincoln just after midnight on Sunday.

Lincolnshire Police were called to West Parade at 12:01am this morning, after reports that man had been injured.

It is believed at this stage that he may have been attacked in the road, although the nature of that attack is unclear as the victim has not been interviewed.

Police say he is in a “stable condition” at Lincoln County Hospital.

A 30-year-old local man was arrested a short time later in connection with the incident and he is helping police with their enquiries at Lincoln Police station.
