Search for two women after pensioner’s supermarket bag theft

CCTV: Police are searching for two women who are suspected of stealing more than £1,000 from a pensioner.

Police have released CCTV images of two women who are suspected of stealing more than £1,000 from a pensioner.

A 70-year-old woman was shopping in Sainsbury’s in Lincoln on December 14, 2010 at around 12.30pm when she noticed that her handbag was stolen from her trolley.

I contained £600 cash and bank cards. Those cards were then used to withdraw around £1,250 from a cash machine at Morrisons in Tritton Road, Lincoln.

Police say an attempt to buy goods with the cards was also made at Argos in High Street, Lincoln.

If you can identify the two women, Lincolnshire Police urge to call them on 0300 111 0300 and leave the information for the attention of PC Tom Richardson, quoting incident number 175 of December 14, 2010.
