Street robberies prompt police appeal

Linked robberies: Police are looking for three men believed to be involved in two robberies on the same day.

Lincolnshiure Police are appealing for information after two street robberies in Lincoln on Tuesday, January 25.

The first took place in Waterside South at around 6.30pm when three men approached a 20-year-old local man.

One punched him in the face and demanded cash and his mobile phone.

The offender is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall, in his late teens, thin and wearing a light-coloured hoodie and a scarf.

There is no description of the other offenders.

The second incident took place on High Street at around 7pm on the same day.

A 21-year-old local man was approached by an offender matching the description of the first incident. He asked the victim for a cigarette paper.

When the victim said no he threatened violence and then demanded his wallet. The wallet, containing around £100, was taken.

Police have linked the two incidents and appeal for information.
