Contemporary dance comes to Lincoln

International influence: A continental and contemporary dance set will be coming to Lincoln Drill Hall this winter.

Lincoln Drill Hall will host the contemporary dances of Europe, followed by open discussion later this month.

The performance by Dance4, called Europe in Motion – Mosaic Identities, will feature a modern dance piece as well as a discussion with the artists afterwards.

The performers were chosen from various European dance festivals, like the UK’s Nottdance, The Netherlands Springdance and Austria’s Brut Festival.

Chief executive and artistic director of Dance4 Paul Russ said: “We have an amazing amount of talent in the festival this year, including new artists who have never performed with us before.

“We want audiences to come along and experience something new and exciting or perhaps even go for something they would never normally watch.

“There really is something to suit everyone’s taste and budget.

“We’re really proud of what we have achieved over the years and have worked hard to put the Nottdance Festival on the map, making contemporary dance enjoyable and accessible for everyone.”

Dance4 is an internationally renowned company in the UK dance industry. Their aim is to work with partners, artists and practitioners to create national contemporary dance.

The informative show runs on February 24, starting at 8pm. Tickets cost £7 and can be bought from the Drill Hall Box Office.
