NHS Lincolnshire thinks about sex

Sex aware: The NHS are trying to highlight the importance of sex and sexual appointments in Lincoln.

NHS Lincolnshire will be holding an open day to get residents thinking differently about sex and sexual health appointments.

The event, Thinking About Sex Day, will be held on February 14 at Lindon House, the NHS’ new sexual health clinic, between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.

Event organiser and Locality Team Manager Helen Oliver said: “We want people to feel comfortable when using our services so we are giving people the chance to visit Lindon House and see the new premises informally.

“There will be freebies and a competition with the chance to win prizes.

“Plenty of information will also be available from NHS Lincolnshire’s Chlamydia Screening Team, Positive Health (Lincolnshire) and Lincoln’s Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC).

“Ideally people changing partners or with multiple partners should have a regular sexual health check up.

“Our services are free and completely confidential. Just call the central booking line to make an appointment on 01522 539145.”

The NHS have also been holding night time Chlamydia tests at various hotspots around the city, where individuals can be tested quickly for the STI.

The next night time testing will be held in Revolution bar on February 9.
