Police search for burglary witness

Witness appeal: Police are searching for a woman who might have witnessed an attempted burglary.

Lincolnshire Police are searching for a potential witness to come forward after two Lincoln men were charged with burglary.

At around 5.30pm on January 27 police were called to Bedford Court, off St Paul’s Lane in Lincoln, after reports of an attempted burglary.

Officers attended the scene and arrested two local men, Stephen Paul Scrimshaw (33), of Thurlby Crescent, Lincoln and Dane Leo Loughlin (24), of no fixed address.

They were both charged with attempted burglary in relation to the offence and appeared at Lincoln Magistrates Court the following day.

The two men where then released on police bail until their next appearance on February 14.

Police are now searching for a woman who was in the Lillicrap Court area (pictured) shortly after the time of the alleged offence.

They appeal for her to get in touch with them as soon as possible, as she may have information which is useful to the investigation.
