Smashed cars prompt police warning

Car thefts: Drivers in Bracebridge Heath are being warned not to leave property in their cars after a series of thefts.

Lincolnshire Police are warning drivers in Bracebridge Heath area of Lincoln not to leave property in their cars after a series of thefts.

Overnight on February 11/12 an offender smashed the rear window of a car in Waldo Road, Bracebridge Heath (yellow marker) and stole a handbag.

A thief also smashed the passenger window of a car in Churchill Avenue (red marker) on the same night and stole a Tom Tom satnav from the glove box.

While Lincolnshire Police are investigating these two cases, the force is asking residents in the area to report suspicious activity by calling 0300 111 0300.

Alternatively, people can give information on criminals operating in their area anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
