Wheely fun event for elderly and disabled

Sound advice: A mobility shop in Lincoln will be holding an Advice and Awareness day this month.

A mobility shop in Lincoln for elderly and disabled people will be holding an Advice and Awareness day next week.

Clarriots Mobility Exchange’s event on February 26 at its Sincil Street shop aims to inform people what mobility aid is available to them.

There will be a range of representatives from Hidden Hearing, Age UK, LACE Housing, Lincolnshire Carers Partnership, Carers Connect and Voice Ability to offer advice.

Refreshments will be available for free throughout the day.

Owner of the store, James Carratt, decided to hold the guidance event due to potential cuts in aid by Lincolnshire County Council.

He said: “We feel it is important that the general public are well informed about the range of services, advice and benefits that are available to them.

“There is a lot of help out there and we felt that by hosting such a day, we are giving people an opportunity to access this information in an easy and accessible way.”

For more information on the event, contact shop co-manager Joseph Verney on 01522 533524.
