Burglaries: Police are appealing for information following two separate burglaries from a church and charity shop in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for information following two separate burglaries from a church and charity shop in Lincoln.

On May 15 between 12pm and 1.30pm the following afternoon, St Peter at Gowts Church on High Street, Lincoln was targeted by thieves.

The offender got into the church by smashing a vestry window at the back, but it is not clear what has been taken.

In an unrelated incident, police were called to Barnardos charity shop on Wolsey Way, Lincoln, at 11.50pm on Monday, May 16 after a burglary was reported.

A man had been seen smashing glass in the door to the shop and stealing a bag inside.

The man is described as having thinning fair hair, jeans and dark jacket and a small, Whippet-type dog with him.
