Lincoln Imps get Nike deal

Nike strike: Lincoln Imps will wear the Nike swoosh on their new home and away kit as part of a new deal.

Lincoln City Football Club have announced a new deal where Nike are to become their new official kit suppliers.

The partnership will begin next month and will see Nike supplying the Imps with all of their playing and training kit. There will also be a range of Nike products in the Club Shop, which will also undergo a complete refurbishment by Nike’s professional football club partner, Just Sport Pro Club.

Chief Executive of Lincoln City Steve Prescott says that even though the club have slipped into the Blue Square Bet Premier that “Nike want to play an active part in supporting the Imps as we attempt to bounce back to the Football League at the first attempt”.

Prescott explains what will happen when Nike take over as kit suppliers: “Our partnership with Nike means that there will be a new full range of home and away kits for next season and we are looking forward to working closely with Just Sport Pro Club, who will take over the management of the retail outlet at Sincil Bank Stadium.”

Michael Heslop, Sales Director for Just Sport, said: “We are pleased to welcome Lincoln City into the Nike family and confirm we will be supplying match and training kit from the start of the 2011/12 season.

“I am sure the supporters will be happy to see the Lincoln City badge alongside the world-famous Nike Swoosh.”
