Lincoln Ladies put youngsters’ skills to test

Skill session: Lincoln Ladies football club will be teaching youngsters football tips and tricks next week.

Lincoln Ladies football club will be holding a session at Greenbank Football Club, Newark Road, as part of Lincolnshire Coaches Week and under 16s can join them.

Next week team members, including Women’s England Captain Casey Stoney, will be teaching youngsters football tips and as well as playing a match.

Anyone under 16 can attend the event on May 24, and the 6pm session is free.

Coach Development Manager at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership Lizzie Couling said: “There are a lot of opportunities for people in across Lincolnshire to find out more information about sports coaching or instructing throughout Lincolnshire Coaches Week.

“I’m delighted that both Greenbank and Lincoln Ladies have been so proactive and are working together to encourage people to get involved with the week.

“I hope anyone interested in football in the area will take advantage of this opportunity to train with some of the best women’s footballers in the UK.”

Lincoln Ladies Midfielder Megan Harris said: “We are delighted to support Lincolnshire Coaches Week and we will be bringing some of the team to the session next week at Greenbank to have a penalty shootout and talk to the kids.”

Lincolnshire Coaches Week aims to provide residents with various coaching workshops, events and courses, while promoting physical activity.
