Central kitchen store undergoing refurb

Inkuchen: Lincoln based kitchen providers Inküchen are currently refurbishing their Mint Street outlet.

Lincoln-based kitchen providers Inküchen are currently refurbishing their outlet.

The store, which has previously been hired by Channel 4 show Property Ladder, provides modern fitted German kitchens.

Located on Mint Street, the store first opened its doors six months ago. The building was once a dilapidated juice bar and was renovated in three months for £100,000.

The next phase of construction is set to cost £50,000 and will be finished by Christmas. It will involve renovating the upper two floors and redesigning some of the ground floor.

Paul Martin, owner of the store, said: “The new floors will allow us to stock a lot more and expand.

“There are plans to have local chefs cook on the kitchen appliances upstairs while customers shop. I am moving the building along quite slowly due to the market being relatively slow at the moment.”

“I think that there is a definite market here in Lincoln. We have already worked on a number of jobs and the expansion can only help business.”
