Park gears up for summer games sessions

Sporty summer: Boultham Park will be hosting plenty of sporting sessions over summer.

The recently refurbished Boultham Park in Lincoln will be using its facilities for a host of summer of games from June 20.

The sessions will last until September 4, and take place Monday to Friday between 1pm and 7pm, or weekends at 12pm until 7pm.

Sports on offer include tennis, cricket, bowls and putting. Prices start at 90p per sport per session, with special discounts and lockers available.

City of Lincoln Council Recreation Services Team Leader Antony Angus said: “Boultham Park is a fantastic facility, with a brand new play area and activities for young and old.

“We’ve set the charges at an affordable level, as we want to encourage a lot of activity in the park over the summer.

“Refreshments will also available throughout the summer, so it’s a great place to spend a summer evening or weekend.”

The City of Lincoln Council is also encouraging Lincolnites to use the revamped tennis courts on the West common.

The two grass courts are available in summer and three hard courts are available all year to anyone, with game, set and match being called in September.
