Show time: Tight on time at the Lincolnshire Show 2011? Check out our picks for a jam-packed day the county’s biggest show.

The 127th annual Lincolnshire show returns to the show ground on 22nd and 23rd June, for what is sure to be an action-packed day out for the whole family.

Here’s a quick look at our top five:

Sports Zone (10th Avenue)

Get ready for the 2012 Olympics at this year’s Sports Zone, hosted by Lincolnshire Sports Partnership. With wheelchair basketball, an inflatable penalty shootout, zorbing and even a water-sports zone, not to mention a skills session from the Lincoln Ladies football team, there really is something for everyone.

Knights of the Damned (12:30/2:30pm Isuzu Countryside Arena)

Fresh from the set of Pirates of the Caribbean IV, James Pearson returns to lead his lance-wielding stunt team in what is sure to be another spectacular show. Head to the Countryside Arena to enjoy the joust!

In the Ring (Clydesdale Bank Main Ring)

Get your fix of agricultural heritage at the Main Ring, which will be home to a host of events, including show-jumping, pig racing (yes, you heard right) and the Grand Parade, where you can celebrate some of the county’s loveliest livestock.

Chainsaw Art (11am/2pm Isuzu Countryside Arena)

Watch in awe as DIY fanatics brandish chainsaws and expertly carve fantastic sculptures from blocks of wood. Don’t try this at home!

Food Court

Finally, a trip to the Lincolnshire Show just wouldn’t be complete without a trip (or two) to the Food Court. Take a break from the madness and reenergise by wrapping your chops around some delicious local produce.
