Cafe Portico extends opening hours

Midnight snacks: A city cafe is extending its opening hours in the evenings, and has plenty of live music to celebrate.

From July 29, Italian-inspired cafe and wine bar Cafe Portico in The Terrace, Lincoln will be introducing longer opening hours in the evenings.

Cafe Portico will extend its opening hours from 5pm till midnight Wednesdays to Saturdays, and has set up a programme of music nights.

There will also be a selection of sharing platters and nibble food on the evening menu, accompanied with a selection of wines and alcoholic drinks.

On launch night, the cafe and wine bar will have live music from singer-songwriter Abi Moore.

New owner Sim Bellandini said: “Our aim is to offer a variety of special nights alongside our new evening opening times.

“We already have an exciting programme of live music lined up in the coming months, from jazz and blues to new writing, folk and acoustic sets.

“We’ve even got some West End stars lined up! But, most importantly, we will be offering an inviting and cosy setting for the people of Lincoln to enjoy with their friends.”

The launch night on July 29 starts at 5pm and is free. Live music begins at 8pm.

Bellandini added: “We are delighted to have Abi playing on our launch night and we are warmly inviting the people to pop by on this special night, enjoy some music and see what we’re up to at Cafe Portico.”
