Meet the Lincoln Cathedral bell ringers

Every Thursday evening Lincolnites are serenaded with the sound of Lincoln Cathedral’s bells ringing across the city.

It’s because that’s when the cathedral’s bell ringers gather to practice.

Les Townsend, Master of the Cathedral Company of Ringers, let The Lincolnite in to the cathedral towers, to see what goes on behind the bell-ringing.
