Man brutally assaulted on Monks Road

Group attack: Police are looking for three people believed to have attacked a man walking along Monks Road.

Lincolnshire Police are looking for information regarding an assault which took place on Monks Road in Lincoln.

In the early hours on September 14, a black man was walking towards the Arboretum. As he got near to the college, he was approached by two eastern European men and a woman.

The man claims he was then hit by the men, with one punch hitting his cheek. The victim ran to the reptile shop to escape, but on of the offenders caught up with him and hit him again.

The victim fell to the ground, before two members of the public helped him, and the offender ran off.

He sustained broken ribs and metatarsal due to the assault and was taken to hospital.

One of the men is described as white, short mousey brown hair, between 5’10 to 5’11 feet tall and an average build, aged between 19-29.

The second man is described as a similar appearance, though the woman looked younger than the men, with dark hair tied back and of a chunky build.
