Burglar ignores jewellery, steals dog

Dog burglary: A burglar stole a dog from a home in Lincoln, and ignored a laptop and jewellery.

Lincolnshire Police are investigating a burglary in Lincoln in which a dog was stolen, while other goods were left untouched.

The burglary took place on October 11, some time between 12.30pm and 4.45pm, at a property in Newark Road.

An offender got into the ground-floor flat through the living room window, which may have been left unlocked.

Saffy, a six-year-old white Staffie, was stolen. The dog is mostly white with brown patches around the eyes.

Officers say the offender searched the whole house and ignored a laptop and jewellery — so it appears the dog was the intended target.

Anyone who has seen Saffy, or has any information on this burglary, should call Lincolnshire Police on 0300 111 0300 or call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
