Doddington Road business park all snapped up

Business park: Pioneer Business Park off Doddington Road is now all booked up — a good sign for the city’s economy.

All the units at the speculatively built Pioneer Business Park off Doddington Road have been snapped-up, Lincoln commercial agents Banks Long & Co said.

The development by the Roe Group attracted a diverse mix of expanding and relocating businesses in the food, engineering and service industries.

Tenants who moved into Pioneer include The Swimming Pool Safety Company, The Original Cake Company – which has just taken a second unit — Coupling Services Ltd and Lakeside Caterers.

Banks Long & Co agency surveyor Matthew Brooks said: “All 13,000 sq ft of the industrial space has now been let, plus the detached 3,000 sq ft office building at the front of the site has been let to the expanding Swimming Pool Safety Company.

“We therefore recommended our clients finish the development to secure new tenants.”

Brooks added the demand for Pioneer shows Lincoln bucks regional and national trends, as demand for high quality premises in the city is rising.

Coupling Services Ltd, an engineering firm manufacturing components for the water treatment, power generation, oil and gas industries, relocated to Pioneer Business Park from Leeds.

Managing Director Tony Lamb said: “There are currently five people working here, but we are always keen to hear from more skilled CNC machinists, as we look to grow and meet market demand.”
