Man charged over Firth Road hammer attack

Hammer incident: Police charged a Lincoln man in connection with an alleged assault involving a hammer.

A Lincoln man was charged by Lincolnshire Police in connection with an alleged assault involving a hammer in September.

Gerald Andoh (32) of Ashby Avenue, was charged on Tuesday with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

This is in relation to an alleged offence on Firth Road (pictured) on September 26 in which a 40-year-old local man was attacked.

The man suffered a hand injury, including a broken finger.

Andoh has been released on conditional bail to appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on January 3.
