Man seriously injured in Lincoln flat blaze

A man has been seriously injured after a fire started at a block of flats in Lincoln.

The fire at the apartments on West Parade, which was described as “ferocious”, started in the early hours of December 27.

Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue attended the scene at the three-storey home, divided into 10 flats, and extinguished the blaze.

The man was taken to hospital with serious burns.

It is currently not known why or where the fire started at the flats, but Fire & Rescue are investigating the cause.

Lincolnshire Police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
