Beginner coaching course starts in Lincoln

Become a coach: An introductory sports coaching course will start in Lincoln next week.

An introductory sports coaching course will start in Lincoln next week.

The 10-week course is ideal for volunteers, students or anyone looking to start sports coaching, and costs £30 for the full 10-week programme.

It will encourage individuals to find their style of coaching and look at session planning as well as taking part in different sports, and gain access to local sports clubs.

Janet Inman, Chief Executive of Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “An Introduction to Sports Coaching is all about taking those first steps to becoming a coach; learning which coaching style best suits you, trying out different sports and working with other people.

“It’s ideal for those starting a career in coaching, parents who want a way to support their children in sport, or volunteers who want to help out more at their local sports club.”

An Introduction to Sports Coaching is being delivered by Lincolnshire Sports Partnership with GROW at Lincolnshire County Council.

The programme will take place for one hour per week at Skellingthorpe Youth Centre, Skellingthorpe, and the sessions start on Tuesday, January 24, at 6.00pm.
