Continental Market returns to Lincoln

Foodie fun: The European food market will be returning to Lincoln’s city centre for three occasions this year.

Lincoln’s much loved European food market will be making its return next month, with plenty on offer to see and buy.

Lincoln Continental Market brings the best food from across Europe to a number of stalls on the High Street and Cornhill.

As well as food stalls, visitors can enjoy listening to European music and other cultural events.

There will be three separate events this year for the market, giving residents more chances to snap up a German sausage or leather bag.

The first market begins on March 9 to 11 in Castle Square with the Discover Lincolnshire Weekend, where visitors have a chance to gain free entry to various attractions.

The market will be back on June 14, and will run all the way through the weekend until June 17.

Finally, the Continental Market will stop off on October 4 to 7.

Lincoln BIG events and promotions manager Michael Armstrong said: “We are delighted to bring a taste of the continent to Lincoln again this year.

“We are staging the markets in different parts of the city to ensure as many people as possible to spend time browsing and buying from the stalls, whether they are shopping or sightseeing in uphill Lincoln or going about their business in the High Street.”
