Lincoln PR company scoops four awards

Fresh PR: Lincoln PR firm Lava won four awards for its work at a prestigious awards ceremony.

A Lincoln PR firm picked up four awards at the 2012 Fresh PR Awards, which celebrate free range thinking and creativity in the public relations and communications industry.

Lava picked up two Gold awards plus a Silver and Bronze, and was also nominated in the Best Agency category alongside big marketing firms in the country.

“To come home with four awards, two of them gold, is simply fantastic,” said Matt Hammerton, Lava’s managing director.

The firm’s work included Bedroom2Boardroom for The Prince’s Trust and a marketing campaign for East Lindsey District Council’s 2011 SO Festival.

“We won’t be resting on our laurels though, the work on hopefully next year’s award-winning campaigns is already underway and we’re all focused on continuing to delight our clients by delivering great work and great results,” Hammerton added.

Chair of the Judges for the awards this year, Avril Lee said: “Despite the economic pressures, the UK PR industry is at the top of its game, with PR professionals working hard to achieve measurable business impact for clients, and working harder still to make their budgets go further.”
