Work has been completed on phase one of the £2.5 million project to extend and refurbish the Sibthorp Library at Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln.

The library houses 135,000 books, journals, audio-visual resources (DVDs, CDs), ebooks and a Teaching Resources Collection including children’s books.

Once completed, the new building will also be the new home of BG’s Student Support and Learning Advice teams, bringing all the support students need under one roof.

Phase two of the project begins on May 14 and involves remodelling and refurbishing the existing part of the library building.

Construction work started in July 2011 should be completed in September 2012.
