Meet Lincoln’s Diamond Jubilee baby

Double celebrations: Lincoln couple celebrates the arrival of their Jubilee Princess, the city’s own Jubilee baby.

As the nation was celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, there was another reason for a very special Lincoln couple to rejoice.

While the Royal Jubilee celebrations were well underway, Emily Duffy gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

Emily and Ben’s baby was due on May 30, but didn’t actually arrive until the Royal celebrations were in motion.

The couple, who are temporarily naming their baby The Jubilee Princess, was born at a healthy seven pounds at 17:51, on June 3, marking the Royal River Pageant day.

Proud father Ben Farrant said: “We were sure we were having a boy, who we had initially planned to call Harry! We hope to have a name for her very soon!”

Ben and his wife Emily were able to enjoy the four-day weekend celebrating the birth of their new baby girl, alongside all the Royal festivities.
