New date set for Lincoln Race For Life

Rescheduled: The Lincoln Race For Life now has a new date, so runners will still be able to take part.

Organisers of Lincoln Race For Life have managed to rearrange a date for the previously cancelled race.

The popular 5k race will now be held at 11am on July 29.

The annual Race For Life at the Lincolnshire Showground, which raises money for Cancer Research UK, was cancelled due to bad weather causing dangerous ground underfoot.

To avoid risk to partakers health and safety, the event was postponed.

Originally, event organisers thought they would not be able to reschedule until August or September, but managed to secure a closer date.
