Man and woman charged with Lincoln robbery

High Street robbery: A woman was repeatedly hit in the head and money was stolen from her, and two people were charged with robbery.

— Update on August 16: Police have charged two people with robbery, after a woman was repeatedly hit in the head and money stolen from her.

Daniel Andrew Liberty (33), of Rosemary Court, Lincoln and Kelly Marie Bartholomew (25), of Lake View Road, Lincoln, have both been charged with robbery.

Liberty was remanded in custody to appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on August 16 and Bartholomew was released on police bail to appear at Lincoln Magistrates Court on September 25.


— August 15: A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of robbery in Lincoln.

Police were called at around 9.45pm on August 14, after a woman had been robbed outside Teddy’s Amusements on the High Street.

A 26-year-old local woman had been approached by a man and a woman. The woman hit her repeatedly in the head and the man stole cash from her.

Officers attended the scene and arrested a 33-year-old local man and a 25-year-old local woman a short time later. They are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
