Men arrested after spate of county burglaries

Distraction thefts: Police have arrested three men on suspicion of distraction burglaries across Lincolnshire.

Lincolnshire police have arrested three men on suspicion of theft after a number or robberies in Lincoln, Sleaford and Grantham.

The three offenders were arrested in Grantham on August 29, after attempting a distraction theft at a jewellers on Westgate.

The 17-year-old, 22-year-old and 34-year-old men are from South Yorkshire and are currently being questioned.

They are also being questioned over other distraction thefts after mobile phones were stolen from estate agents on High Street, Silver Street and Guildhall Street in Lincoln and Northgate in Sleaford.

The trio are helping police with enquiries in Grantham Police Station.
