Rings worth £2k stolen from Lincoln shop

Jewellery theft: Rings worth around £2,000 have been stolen from a shop in uphill Lincoln.

Rings worth around £2,000 have been stolen from a shop in Bailgate in uphill Lincoln.

This happened between 12.26pm and 12.36pm on August 8, at Arc Jewellables, when two men entered the shop and asked to look at a selection of rings.

After trying them on they produced cash and asked for them to be bagged up. They then snatched the bag from the shop assistant and ran off.

The first offender was dark skinned, around 26-years-old, 6ft 2in tall, and well built. He had short thick dark curly hair and was clean shaven. He was wearing a black T-shirt with a round neck, dark trousers and tan shoes, which were pointed and had laces.

The second man was dark skinned, around 26-years-old and around 5ft 7in tall. He was round faced and clean shaven with a chubby body. He was wearing a black T-shirt with a round neck and black trousers with black shoes.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact DC Julie Burton at Lincoln CID via the non-emergency 101 number, or call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
