LincUpLive: Foodies gathered in Lincoln on Friday to learn how they can use social media for their business.

Lincolnshire food producers and foodies gathered in Lincoln on Friday, September 14, for a digital conference called Eat, Drink & Be Social, to learn how they can use social media for their business.

Sponsored by the Select and Tastes of Lincolnshire Partnership, the conference took place on at the Doubletree by Hilton in Lincoln, organised by LincUpLive.

Speakers included chef, cookery demonstrator, food writer and Lincolnshire’s Food Champion Rachel Green, wine blogger David Lowe, and Diana Plazas, the Director of Online Marketing for DoubleTree by Hilton Worldwide.

Celia Lacy from LincUpLive said: “Social media is a vital tool for helping businesses create a presence, especially for those in remote locations or working in niche markets such as the food and hospitality industries.

“Every business has a story to tell, particularly those that possess a production process, for example from field to fork. The story behind how you create produce may feel ‘everyday’ to you, but for your customers, this story is interesting.”

You can tap into more advice shared at the conference on the LincUpLive blog.
